New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarship (NZIDRS)
Albert Kuruvila, a PhD candidate with the School of Social Work and Human Services, has received a New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarship (NZIDRS), administered by Education New Zealand.
Albert was one of 385 applicants of whom 38 received scholarships. The scholarship will cover tuition fees for three years as well as living and traveling expenses.

The focus of Albert’s doctoral study is on the Management of Not for Profit Social Service Organisations. The aim of his research is to understand and appreciate the management practices and trends in the NFP sector and to identify managerial issues and solutions.
Albert Kuruvila is from Kerala, India, where he was a lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the Rajagiri College of Social Sciences. He arrived in New Zealand in May this year.
